Applescript works on my machine, not all others.

The Applescript below runs fine on my machine, and on most others, but there are some instances where an error occurs. I’m new to Applescript, how do I systematically debug or reveal the issue? The script makes an OmniOutliner document from Skim annotations. The machine which gives the error is running Yosemite, I am also using Yosemite on my machine.

Error: A command name can’t go after this “my”

Part in question:

					add style_one to named styles of style of head_one

				else if rgba is fc2 then...

The entire Applescript:

Hi.

‘titlecase’ happens to be a command in a popular third-party OSAX called Satimage. If you’re distributing your script as text, it won’t compile and work properly on systems which have Satimage installed, because of the teminology clash with your ‘titlecase’ handler. You can either distribute the script already compiled, change the name of your handler, or put bars round all instances of its name:

set head_one to make new row with properties {topic:my |titlecase|(note_text, export_options), note:note_url} at end of rows of doc

on |titlecase|(txt, option)
   if option does not contain "Titlecase Levels 1 - 3" then
       return txt
   else
       return do shell script "python -c \"import sys; print unicode(sys.argv[1], 'utf8').title().encode('utf8')\" " & quoted form of txt
   end if
end |titlecase|

The bars will disappear when compiled on a machine without Satimage, but will stay on a machine which does have it. The effect is simply to differentiate between your handler label and the Satimage command.

In the case of a clash with a popular OSAX like Satimage, it’s probably a good idea to think of another label altogether for your handler, if you can.

Much appreciated. Thank you.
