installing packge files with Applescript

I am producing a CD rom with installers on it (i have obtained the licenses) one of these is the QuickTime one, which for Mac OS X is a .pkg file. unfortunatly Director, which i am sriting the CD Rom with, will not open a .pkg file. So i am trying to find a workaround using applescript. is there a way for a Applescript command to open a .pkg file thus installing it?

ah forget it! i just need to tell it top open the package file with the application ‘installer’ problem solved!
