If you answer, specify your country and ellaborate. I consider AppleScript “important” (eg) in US, so this is a relative question. Obviouslly, AppleScript is not PHP, but it is “important” in US, since there are large companies using AppleScript in their workflows/technologies, including papers or simply the Adobe folks implementing it in their apps.
Here, in Spain, it is NOT important. I think there are not more than 3 or 4 folks writing hi-quality applescripts here. However, I think it exists CURIOSITY and a great need of AS-resources in the native language.
I’d say: US, Germany-France-UK, Japan, Italy, Argentina, rest.
