Automated Splash Page Sign In

Greetings.

I'm completely new to scripting. I have a useful idea as a potential first project, but need some help getting started.

I am currently in a school's network, and every few hours I am logged out of the internet and redirected to a splash page where I must reenter my user name and password to sign back on. Therefore, I'd like to create an AppleScript that will:

1. Automatically open Firefox

2. Go directly to the URL splash page

3. Enter my user name and password in the fields

4. Close Firefox

5. Repeat this process every hour or hour and a half.

If I can create this script, I will no longer have to worry about certain programs like instant messenger being logged out when I am out of the room, among other things I prefer keeping signed in. Thanks for the help!
