Share Internet over AirPort without GUI scripting...

Hello everyone,

Currently, I’m using a GUI script to turn AirPort Sharing On and Off. Sometimes it fails to because the authenitication lock is on in the System Preferences. Anyway, the GUI scripting thing takes a long time too, besides failing occasionally.

So my question is:

  1. Is there a better (non-GUI) was to turn Apple’s Share Internet of AirPort on and off with AppleScript? I’ve seen some NAT commands that remind me of 10.1 when you had to set up Internet Sharing from scratch. I’m wondering if Internet Sharing in Panther has a command name.

  2. A GUI scripting question: How can you script the computer to check is the “Authorization” Lock is on or not? And if it is on, what is the command or GUI script to click it and autheniticate?

Thanks.
