(Dis)connect script?

I’m running HotApp that allows me to attach various applications and script to my F-keys. It includes many good Finder Applescripts and ones for controlling iTunes, but I find that it doesn’t include one that connects or disconnects from the internet. I’m not very good with applescripts, but I’ve managed to make one that opens Internet Connect and (dis)connects from there, but I want one that does it without opening it. If you know, paste it in the message or put a link to where I can get it.

Since internet connect (OS X) is an application in itself, I don’t think you can script it without atleast launching it. You can most likely keep it hidden by not activating it in your script, but it has to atleast luanch.
