Batching a folder of Acrobat PDF's to Open, Reduce File Size, and save

I know this thread is old (actually, REALLY old) but I was wondering if someone coud please update this to Acrobat X. I plan on using it in Hazel to reduce the size of my scanned PDFs before it moves them but I thought I should get the current version of the syntax before trying it in Hazel.

It’s possible to do this using preflight/fixups and NOT use GUI scripting.
