Is the 13.3.1 Font Book No Longer Scriptable?

It does not say that all fonts from the list are installed in advance. It says that some of them are installed, while others can be downloaded and installed on Ventura for free.

Also, the fact that VBA produces a different list is expected. Because it lists the Microsoft fonts built into its applications. The word “installed” in the case of working with fonts means that the given font is listed in the interface of the Font Book application.

The fact that VBA cannot list the fonts installed in OS X (and vice versa) may be due to competition between Apple and Microsoft. They block access to some of their fonts to each other. Please note that fonts are subject to copyright.

Remains unchanged. However, thanks for the insights. Noto Sans Zawgyi is just such a font. Reachable in Word, not reachable in Font Book. And the reason is that it’s a PNG file: Noto Sans ZawgyiRegular👪2.png

I’ve got four of them. One for each Office application. I don’t understand such wizardry.
