You know stuff that works on a 50/50 basis. Well, it was a puzzle to figure out, what exactly went wrong. But I did a call to a function, that didn’t escape a path name like it should have been when converted to an url. It still worked, most of the time. Well, it is fixed, and I have had one of the greatest learning experiences in the process!
There are sure other ways to improve this program. but I won’t do it, unless something crashes, or otherwise gives wrong results.
I have made it more robust towards unanticipated input, like ls -l.
