As part of an application concept I am working on, I would like to extract the PICT preview of an image file (provided it exists) and display it using AppleScript Studio. I have previously used additions in OS 9 to extract the PICT resource and Dialog Director to display it. I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction in both how to extract a PICT resource from a file in OS X and as well, how to implement an object in Studio for the displaying of such a resource. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
