Add Photos to Address Book Entries

I have a folder of close to 1,000 photos that I’d like to add to corresponding contacts in Address Book without having to manually add each image. The photos are named in this format: “last name_first name.jpg”. There are some photos in the folder that are not in my Address Book.

Does anyone know of a script (or application) that can do this?
