Adding a photo to an iPhoto 2 album

I have successfully used AppleScript to create an new album in iPhoto 2, but I can’t figure out how to then import a photo. Any help would be appreciated. So far I have:

new album name “New Album”
add photo “Internal HD 1:test1.pct” to album “New Album”

No error message occurs, but nothing gets imported either. Thanks.

The current terminology for iPhoto 2 does not include an import command. You can, however, import images and folders of images into iPhoto using GUI scripting. Apple provides example scripts for this issue at:
