Any recommendations for GUI scripting

G’day scripters.

Can anyone recommend a good book, and/or web tutorials on GUI scripting?

I don’t know where to begin, and it looks like I’m going to have to do a fair bit of it. :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks, & regards

Model: G5 1.8 GHz
AppleScript: 2.1.1
Browser: Safari 419.3
Operating System: Mac OS X (10.4)

Everything I’ve know about GUI scripting was from reading posts here and experimenting, so thats what I would recommend. I also suggest purchasing a copy of PreFab’s UI Browser.

Happy Scripting

Thanks James. Just the thing.

In case anyone’s wondering what Jasmes is referring to, go to http://prefabsoftware.com/uibrowser/

If it’s System Preferences you want to GUI script, then “AppleScript Tutorial on Scripting System Preferences” by Kai Edwards, is essential reading.
