Hi,

The applescript link “open this scriptlet in …” never worked opening in Script Editor. I recently ran Smile and now the link opens the script in a Smile text window. Is there a way to get it to open the script in a Smile script window?

I notice that the link begins with:

applescript://com.apple.scripteditor?action=new&script= … the script

so, I could propbably write a script to get the script from the link. I was just wondering if there was a way to get the script to open as a script instead of text. Does anyone have a good idea on how to get the script from the link also?

Edited: BTW, still running Jaguar. That’s why the link applescipt link doesn’t work with Script Editor.

Come to think of it, since scripts open in Smile when I hit the link, there must be a way to switch it over to Script Editor. All this time I thought the system couldn’t handle applescript links. Is it in the Safari plist or something?

That’s alright I found it. Now, how to switch it over from Smile to Script Editor.
