Applescript on x86

Does anyone of you know how Applescript will make the transition to the x86 processor? I mean, the syntax should still be the same so at worst you’ll only have to recompile your scripts for them to work on an x86 Mac, right?

Since applescript is a scripting language, it shall require no recompiling, no re-editing, no anything. This applies to all scripting languages. To quote steve jobs: “They just work!”

This applies to all interpereted languages and bytecode languages. That means Shell Scripts, Python, Perl, AppleScript, Java, won’t need re-compiling. All ObjC, C, C++, etc. binaries will need to be re-compiled.

Ah, that’s what I suspected (and hoped for), I just wanted to be sure. Thanks.
