is there a way to enable all layer effects in a photoshop document? I have some text with drop shadows, etc. applied, and I want to make sure all of that is visible when I save the document.

Even with CS5(.5) you will still need to use the ‘script listener’ plug-in and it’s action manager code to work with layer styling.
