Arduino Commands

I need to send my USB Arduino simple serial commands such as “a”, “b” etc. using AppleScript.
Hoping someone might know of a scriptable app that would work?

Can across MultiCom but can’t find any info on it for scripting.

Thanks Stefan, I’d been trying that but so far have had no joy.
