I’ve been porting some fairly complex scripts to AppleScript Studio. This was to get a much more sophisticated UI and to rewrite some of the CPU intensive routines in Objective-C.
I was a little dismayed to find the ease with which the scripts within the application bundle could be accessed and even edited from outside the Xcode environment eg: with Script Editor.
Call me a secretive old fart who’s out of step with the open software philosphy, but I’m not too happy about my hours (days) of work, for which I’m being paid (eventually), being openly available to be viewed, copied and edited at whim.
Is there something I’ve missed?
