batch printing question

hi,

I have a folder with hundreds of EPS files, which my customer needs to print out together with crops marks and the filename (eg 10 point Arial at the top left of the printout).

What I succeed to do is to batch print the whole folder. However I dont have the foggiest notion of how to add crop marks plus the filename to it.

Can somebody enlighten me?

Thanks and regards,

Ralf

not sure you can do much with that just to print them

you may have to make an action in illustrator or your vector program that will add those marks

an eps file like a ps file can only print the info already contained in it (AT LEAST NOT WITHOUT RIP SOFTWARE)

what program are you working with your eps files in
AI, freehand, other?

Joe,

I’ve just learned that I can tell the print dialog of Freehand or AI to add the crop marks to the printout. Remains the tricky thing with the filename. I thought I might be able to write it right into the eps file but I dunno how.

I use Freehand and AI.
