Chance mouse cursor position via Applescipt?

Hello.

This seems to be a common problem, at least if you do a Google, but so far I cannot find a solution. I want to either change the position of the mouse cursor on start up, or run a script which alters the position on start up. The reason is that I’m using a Mac Mini as a video player and of course the menu bar is visible on start up as the cursor boots top left. I’ve tried killing the menu with a quick .plist edit, which works on some Macs, but not the damn Mini I’m having to use.

So, can I use Applescript to shift the mouse to say, 200,200 on boot? I’ve found some XTool additions for AS, but these seem to be broken in Leopard. Or, as an alternative, anyone know why my .plist hack only works on some machines and not others?

Thanks you.

E.
