is there any way to change the color of a linked .tif in Illustrator? The colorize command doesn’t work, because the placed item hasn’t been rasterized in Illustrator and (I guess) isn’t recognized as a raster item.
im pretty sure you have to embed and rasterize it first. is that a problem? it can be scripted, but well, then it’ll be embedded and rasterized…
you could duplicate it, and embed or rasterize that one if you needed the linked file for some reason. otherwise, i dont know how to do it. 
yea, I pretty much gave up on it. I wanted to automate it for the user, but you can’t have everything…where would you put it?
