I am new to apple scripting. I have made a script for windows to simplify setting up new machines for customers.
my windows script is a batch file menu with multiple options.
option 1 changes the homepage in IE and copies some files to the desktop (from SMB server to current users desktop using a varible)
option 2 sets the machine to use my local windows update server
option 3 sets the machine back to Microsoft servers.
I would like help creating an apple script to do similar functions. I have a local apple update server running on an imac and it would be nice to have a script to quickly change to local server to speed up updates and save bandwidth and also a quick switch back to apple servers once finished setup.
any help would be greatly appreciated
