Checking inbox for specific subject.

Hi all,

I’m trying, with no avail to write a script to check the inbox of Mail for a specific subject and a spcific date.

What I’m trying to do is to check if the mail server has finished it’s backup, when it does it sends an email to the inbox. So I want to have a script check the inbox for this email, when it comes in then trigger a backup of the whole Xserve.

Hi,

this is the classical purpose for a mail rule. You can specify the filter in the preferences of Mail.app
and when a mail arrives with the specified condition(s), a script can be triggered
