Colored application border possible?

Hi all–

I would like to create a colored frame around specific (but dynamic) application windows based on which is the frontmost window, but I haven’t been able to find anything in hours of Googling :frowning:

I would like the script to get the dimensions of the window, then put a colored ‘box’ around its edges. Is there a specific command used in AppleScript to create a colored application window border that I’m just missing, or is this not even possible?

If not possible, could someone suggest a way to do this? I would prefer not to write a java applet to do it, so if there is any other way I’m all ears.

Thanks for any help.

You would do it web style I expect, set corner pieces which don’t resize, and edge pieces which look the same however long you stretch them. I don’t know about programatically but the web way needs 0 code.
