Hi Folks,
I am sure that I can get some help and suggestions how to manage a big conversion job… There is a directory-structure of several thousand clarisworks-wp-docs that need to be converted into word and some clarisworks-calc-docs into excel.
The task should be to open a file, save it as MS-Word, and close it again and then take the next file - for every file thrugh the whole directory-structure.
The files were created with ClarisWorks 3.0 (!!!) under MacOS 8.1 with MacLinkPlus installed so that a direct "save as … in the format for Word (Word 6/7 or WinWord or MS-Word 8 etc.) is available.
Clarisworks 4.0/5.0/AppleWorks 6.0 and MacOS 9.2.2 / Mac OS X 10.2.8 is available if necessary - but with CW higher than 3.0, there is another file-conversion needed as CW4/CW5/AW6 open old docs only as CW4/CW5/AW6-doc.
I have some, but quite little applescrip experience - I even don’t now what chapter in the manual should be consulted…
So please help and give me some hints…
