OK, this is a weird problem… to best understand it, I recommend you download TuneConnect (http://tuneconnect.mattpat.net ).
When TuneConnect starts, it asks you to enter a Mac name and IP address (automatically filling in the name of the default Mac). As an option under preferences, however, you can tell it to just connect to the default Mac automatically, without giving you a chance to change the name. If your username and password aren’t stored in the keychain, this works fine… and if you don’t use this setting, you can store your username and password in the keychain without problem. However, if you use this setting and your username and password are stored in the keychain, the application crashes when it tries to connect. Below is a bug report from a user:
