Create CGI for Apache on Panther Server - how?

The subject says it all. I have a CGI AppleScript created, and it’s saved as a stay-open app with the proper bits set so it’s world-execute, but Apache says I can’t get at it.

Apple’s web site says Apache supports AS CGI’s directly, referring to OS X Server release notes, which I can’t find (at least not by that name - when will they learn to put links into web pages?).

Can anyone refer me to a how-to, or give me some hints?

Hi,

I’ve tried to do this for a long time, but never could figure this out. I couldn’t understand this article and the others on cgi and didn’t want to mess up my computer, but maybe you can:

http://www.macdevcenter.com/pub/a/mac/2003/04/11/apache_jaguar_pt2.html

It’s for Jaguar but probably unix is the same in both OSs. I have a hard time with unix.

gl,
