Creating a workflow from Indesign to Flash to FTP

Hello all,

I really hope someone can give me a little guidance… here is the general idea of what I would like to achieve.

  1. Export Hi-Res JPGs from indesign to a relative “client” folder

  2. As soon as the JPGs enter that folder have it resize the images 2x. One for thumbs (top level) and one for Large (folder called “large”) both converted from 300dpi to 72dpi

  3. Move all thumbs, including the subfolder just created (large) to another folder called “pages”

  4. Delete the original folder for step 2).

  5. Move folder to FTP droplet

I am having trouble trying to specify which should be part of automator or a folder action. Also, can’t work out how to program it so that it uses the local folder - rather than a specific folder on a path. Reason being is that I want to use the same action in quite a few different places without recreating the script each time.
