creating prefPanes

Hey guys,

I’ve been trying (without any real result) to add an item to the System Preferences. Some programs add items to the System Preferences (such as Adobe Creative Suite which adds VersionCue and Norton which adds two icons). I’d like to be able to do that too

Now from what I have already understood, this should be written into a .prefPane file. The question is: how does said file look like? (VersionCue for instances places a file called “VersionCue.prefPane” into system–>Library–>PreferencePanes)

Does anyone here have any experience with this and might be able to help me out?

Thanks and greetz!

I’m not sure if that’s something you can do with AppleScript. Check out the Preference Pane documentation.

Thank you, that was exactly what I needed
