I have been trying to figure out how to create a document-based application, with no success. Can anyone point me to a tutorial? I haves searched the web but found nothing.

The is one chapter dedicated to this in Shane Stanley’s book. You should have a look. It’s not easy to explain in one post, and I do not know of any pre-existing tutorial…

Yes, definitely a book to have. Very cheap for the help it provides, plus it’s the only one of it’s kind.
