I am using display alert to show the settings for a complex droplet. In the main dialog I get a nice wide dialog. See attachment.
In other dialogs using display alert, the dialog is not as wide and text breaks in unpleasant ways. Anyone know how to force this into the wider dialog?
It’s the sum of the lengths of the buttons which defines the dialog width.
In the last one you have a single short button so you have a small width.
I didn’t used the tip for years so I don’t know if it is always efficient, you may try to replace the button name “OK” by " OK " (15 spaces before and 15 spaces after OK)
You may also remove the sentence “Send file with this pub date ?” and name the button “Send file with this pub date”
I’m puzzled by the question mark. As the dialog offers a single button the user has no other choice.
If you wish to give him the ability to cancel the task, you must create a [ Cancel ] button.

Corrected a typo
Ah, the buttons, of course. Thanks for saving me a bunch of trail and error.
RE: the copy editing. That screen shot was from a very much in development script, still have not tightened up all the screws. There will be a choice.
