I have created a application in Applescript.NOw since i have to disturbute it i have saved it as a Application.I have to upload it to a web server giving the option for users to download it from the web.My problem is
I am not able to find out whats the extension of a Applescript saved as a Application.Like zipped files has got a .zip extension can anyone pls tell me whats the extension of a Application .
You don’t need an extension. OS X should recognize it as an app (file type APPL, creator aplt/dplt). Anyway, if you wish, you can use “.app”, which is the generic extension for applications. And don’t forget compress it before uploading, using StuffIt or other format which can keep safe your app’s resource fork!
Suresh, when you are in the “Save” dialog window there is a small check box that allows you to “Hide Extension”. The check box is in the lower left hand side of the dialog window opposite the “Save” button.
