find character style & replace with a <tag>

Need to find a character style & replace it with a string or . Obviously I’m doing something wrong. applescript doesn’t like anything between <>

tell application "Adobe InDesign CS6"
	activate
	set find text preferences to nothing
	set change text preferences to nothing
	
	-- find character style
	set properties of find text preferences to {applied character style:"C-PMS PC"}
	
	--	replace with a string
	set change to of change text preferences to "<price o="XXXXX" ps="6" s="-1" t="1"/>"
	change text
end tell

If I replace it with just text

	set change to of change text preferences to "XXXX"

works but some reason doesn’t like this:

	set change to of change text preferences to "<price o="XXXX" ps="6" s="-1" t="1"/>"

If do this from InDesign find/change window it works

Model: iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015)
AppleScript: 2.8.1 (183.1)
Browser: Safari 537.36
Operating System: Mac OS X (10.10)

You need to escape or double quote your “quotes”

set change to "<price o=\"XXXXX\" ps=\"6\" s=\"-1\" t=\"1\"/>"
