Hi,
I’m completely new to Mac and AppleScript. My current project requires an understanding of AppleScript as it applies to Numbers.
With Microsoft the scripting language VBA appeared to be imbedded into Excel, i.e. you didn’t have to open up a separate application to do scripting.
I looked everywhere in Numbers and could not find a way of opening up AppleScript.
So, I’m obviously in need of a good book. I’ve checked various books on the internet and all seem to cover AppleScript as a Mac application and not just Numbers. Can someone recommend a book that includes a good coverage of AppleScript in Numbers.
I’ve tried using the Record utilty but nothing happens when I click it and carry out a few operations in Numbers. No script get recorded.
I have a long way to go 
I’m fairly knowledgable in the mechanics of scripting, I just need to find out how it’s done on the Mac.
