could somebody make a script so when you recive a message in iChat the griffin powermates blue led light will pulsate. thanks.

I don’t see any mention of scriptability in the PowerMate specs. AppleScript can only “speak” to an application that is prepared to “listen”. The outlets on PowerKeys are scriptable, for example, but the light on them is not.
Though Griffin’s product page doesn’t mention it anywhere, the mac PowerMate driver does indeed support AppleScript, as noted by its PDF manual in the support area. I don’t have a PowerMate to play with so you may need to look elsewhere for inspiration. (:
