Is it actually possible to use GUI scripting to control popup menus?

Can you specify what exactly you are trying to do? Perhaps someone here has the same application and can try to make it work.

I would like to script iTunes to right-click a pre-selected song and select an item from the popup menu. The command I would like to invoke is not available through the main menu.

What command is it? You may be able to just tell itunes to do the command.

I am interested in the “Get Album Artwork” command. Note that while a menu with the same name exists in the main menu of iTunes, the two menus function differently: The popup menu version will only query the iTS for the selected tracks, while the main menu version will query the iTS for your whole library, which will take a long time.

If I am not mistaken, Fetch Art uses Amazon to obtain its artworks. Personally, I find iTS’ artwork to be of higher quality compared to Amazon’s
