Help; can't get Script Editor to record

Hello,

This is an awkward first post, but… I’ve been using scripts on a system 9
machine with some success, and have gotten to the point where I need to
set up some simple scripts on OS X machines, and find that the Script Editor
is not recording correctly. Out of several attempts, I’ve only had it record one event,
quitting an application.

I’ve got Script Editor v. 1.9 on a OS X 10.2.8

Anyone with any ideas about what’s (not) happening?

Thanks

What type of activities are you attempting to record? If it involves Finder, I hate to be the one to inform you that Finder isn’t recordable in OS X.

Thanks. I started with the Finder, supposing that would be the first/easiest thing to try. Is there a particular reason specific to OS X that recording wasn’t implimented for the Finder?

Yep. The reason is that Apple hasn’t implemented Finder recording yet.
However, the current assumption is that this will return in 10.3. To what extent is unknown.
