HELP! where to find old standard AppleScripts ???

hi gang
I used to have a bunch of good useful scripts written by Apple - like Replace Text in Item Names, Add Text as Prefix / Suffix, etc - on my Macs back in the day
but I’m having a helluva time finding them on the internet now
they are freeware, written by Apple, right?
but where ARE they?
is there an archive of them here somewhere? please, someone, direct me
specifically looking for one to Add Text to the beginning of an Item Name
but I’d love a dozen or two useful old workhorse scripts installed in case I need them
thanks!!!

Hi Rolf,

in case you mean the subroutines, once I downloaded the whole collection and saved them: Apple Subroutines

thanks, Stephan!
not exactly, tho (these look cool, but I they’re a little over my head
I’m looking to rename files, mostly)
old chestnuts like Replace Text in Item Names, Add Text to Item Names, etc
I found some of them on here - starting to understand how this site works
but if anyone has a link to the dozen or so most common Finder filename scripts, I’d be much obliged
thanks!

Aren’t they on your hard disk in /Library/Scripts ?

nope!
there’s a bunch in there, but not the item names ones
they used to be in OS9, but recent OSXs they seem to be missing
thanks though!

Here are my Finder Scripts

I started up SheepShaver and looked in the System Folder → Scripts. The link below links to the files I found. They are all folder action scripts.

Hope it’s what you’re looking for,

thanks!
that was it
