I don’t want to take too much of this forums attention (especially from Default defaults to be honest but I need help files, I’m seriously struggling to understand it from the docs, I don’t understand html, I do understand iWeb, and I guess Help Indexer must have some use in all this. Anyone provide a link or info which would help me achieve a simple app help please?
What would you like to know about HTML? w3schools.com is for me the best source about the latest news about HTML and Javascript. Then I also downloaded the full documentation about HTTP1.1 to understand what HTTP really is and what is possible and not with a webserver.
I just want to know how to create my help files (possibly in iWeb, which I would need no help with) and then put them in my app, by handling as little html as possible, importing them is the hardest bit.
I just managed to sort of get it working but the help search only found the ‘introduction’ page when I typed exactly: “int”, less or more characters didn’t work!
Not really – if the html is correct, the importing is easy. I’m afraid you’re going to have to know something of html. You might glean more by looking at the help files in other apps. And you don’t have to have them indexed.
So I have an iWeb site folder… now what?
That’s by huge coincidence what I followed to get where I am now, search broken, I struggled with the plist keys he talks about because the don’t exist exactly like that in the drop down menu.
I am working on iWeb to complete it, then I can try properly, but it probably will end up the same
Fixed!!!
I had to add the
works beautifully
