Hi guys,
How do you hide the text (or display “*”) on input boxes on specifically 10.3.9? The reason is that I’m creating a password input box and I want the text to be hidden, which currently it displays.
Thanks and God bless you guys!
Ben.

You can’t do that with AppleScript on 10.3. The hidden answer
parameter was added in 10.4.
That sucks! Is there a workaround for this as I know the system password dialog box on 10.3.9 supports the “hidden password” field.
Hi Ben,
Maybe you should think about converting your current script into an AppleScript Studio project, where you can use the full set of Mac OS X interface design.
Or maybe you could use Facespan to create and provide more sophisticated controls than with the «display dialog» command.
But AppleScript alone won’t offer you the secure text field prior to Mac OS X 10.4
