This a sequel to the “EndNote X and UI Scripting” topic.
Jacques showed me how to solve that issue, so I have the script, installed in <~/Library/Scripts/Applications/EndNote X/>. Now, the problem is how to trigger it with a hotkey. I use Spark for other hotkeys, and it works for this one as well.
However, I’d like a keyboard shortcut set in System Preferences > Keyboard & Mouse > Keyboard Shortcuts. I can set here keyboard shortcuts for EndNote, but, according to UIElementInspector, Script menu doesn’t belong to EndNote, it belongs to SystemUIServer. So I set a shortcut for SystemUIServer, logged out, logged in, and, yes, the shortcut shows up in the Script menu. But the shortcut doesn’t trigger the script – it produces nothing but a beep.
Any ideas as to what I’m doing wrong? TIA!
