How do I create a menu application like the Script menu?

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knew how to go about creating a menu application, such as AppleScript Menu, iSeek, or Sailing Clicker. Something that is always running and has a drop down menu that will run a set of specific scripts. I know that you can make your own folder in the applescript menu, but all the other folders/scripts are rather annoying when all you need is to run 3 or 4 specific scripts.

Thanks for the help,
JO

Use Another Launcher. It’s free & terrific and besides its core feature of being able to launch items very quickly and intuitively, you can create custom menus that can include scripts, documents, applications, whatever. If you use it, consider paying the author for his efforts. I have no affiliation with the product or author and I can’t say enough good things about this product.

yeah,
that app is great. i am def going to be playing with this for a while.
But I would still like to know how to make my own menu app, if anyone know, please point me in the right direction.
Thanks for the cool new app and any other information anyone has,
JO

I found this tutorial to be very helpful:

You can also take a look at this project I put together:

but it never worked quite right and you’re better off with the tutorial I think. Still, there are lots of interesting things in the project.

Thanks :D,
I will look into these tutiorials.
Appreciate the help & let you know if i figure anythig out,
JO

You don’t have to keep all those other scripts around if you don’t want. I moved Apple’s scripts into another folder to get them out of the way and so only my scripts/folders are visible from the menu (with the exception of the “Script Editor Scripts” folder, which i kept around so that the Script Editor’s contextual menu continues to work correctly.)

The links provided by Jonn8 lead to dead ends.
I’m guessing one of them ment to lead us to this page:http://cocoadevcentral.com/articles/000078.php
