James Sentman, author of Drop Script Backgrounder, informs me that it’ll be a while before he wrestles it into Leopard compatibility (It’s broken now).
Does anyone have a clue how to make an AppleScript app into a background app?

I’m not sure how Drop Script Backgrounder did its thing, but I’ll read the reference tomorrow. Thanks.
Thanks, Hendo – I’ve downloaded it and will look into it tomorrow.

Just to add closure to this thread – Yes Stefan, saving the script as a bundle and editing its info.plist to include
renders the on idle script a faceless background app.
