How to invoke automatic synchronising of subscribed photo feed?

Hello,

I’m trying to create a very simple script that starts iPhoto at a specific time, updates a subscribed photo feed, and then closes iPhoto again. I have a media center that allows me to use iPhoto albums as screen saver and it treats photo feeds as one. But the feed doesn’t update unless i start iPhoto, click on the synchronise button next to the feed. Any suggestions on how to accomplish that with a applescript?

Hi,

unfortunately there is no AppleScript command to update a photo feed.
Maybe you can do it with GUI scripting, but I haven’t tested it yet

Ok. Thanks for the clarification. I googled it some more and found a few references to python scripting. I might have a look into that, but it means I have to teach myself yet another scripting language… :expressionless:
