how to tell if a specific OS9 app is running in classic?

I use an OS9 app in classic mode. I need to be able to tell if that app is running. Looking at the running processes doesn’t help because it seems all OS9 apps are just listed as TrueBlueEnvironme. Any ideas?

tell application “System Events” to set theProcesses to the name of every process
