how to use 'Script Bundle Tool 4.0.8'

Can someone tell me how to use ‘Script Bundle Tool 4.0.8’.
I read the ‘Script Bundle Tool Doc’ three times and all I get is an error (The name must end with " source" or " source.app" or “source.script”).

Hi Tom_X,

This script is indeed not easy to understand, maybe one needs a special degree or diploma to get it immediately running  But anyway, here is how I successfully used it:

  1. Create an AppleScript in the Script Editor and save it as a Script with the *.scpt extension.
  2. In the Finder, rename the created script file like follows:
    → ’ My great AppleScript source.scpt’ ←
→ Yes, there is a leading space in this file name and you must include the ’ souce.scpt’ part at the end!
→ The part will be used by Script Bundle Tool to name the newly created script bundle.
  3. Now place the renamed script file anywhere on your Mac BUT on the desktop. For example, I simply created a folder on the desktop and put the script file therein.
  4. Now drag & drop the script file onto Script Bundle Tool. Wohoooo!
  5. Voila, have a look inside the script folder.
  6. You can now collect your diploma in nuclear physics in office -128

HTH!

Hi Martin,

Wow, I don’t know how you figured it out but with YOUR instructions I can use the Script Bundle Tool app.
I think it’s a five star app but the instructions that came with it were not very helpful (for me).

Thank you very much!

Tom

p.s. You deserve a diploma in nuclear physics in office -128.
