Indesign CS5 delete table from textstream

I’m building a script for importing a word-file of a article and applying al the styles, placing blocks of text in separate frames and some other things just to make the designing-job as easy and quick as posible.

But I’m facing some problems.

At the beginning of the word-file is a table with some metadata which I don’t need.
How do I get rid of that table?
I’ve tried to build up the whole text and leaving the first paragraph out, but than I loose all styles.

An other issue is that they put some additional info about the author in a footnote in the line with the name of the author.
I have to put this text in a separate frame on the page.
How do I locate the footnote-text
How do I get the text in a variable so I can put it in a other frame.
How do I delete the footnote-maker and the footnote.

Sorry for all the questions but I can’t seem to figure it out and searching on the web gave no solution so far.

Can anyone direct me to the AS reference guide of Indesign CS5, I can’t find it on the internet (only up to CS4).

Any help is welcome.

TIA Erwin
