Instantly Sleep Display

I have a 24" iMac that I leave on at night. Normally, my display sleeps after 10 minutes. (Note, this is the display, not the computer. The display’s backlight turns off after 10 minutes, while the computer is still on.)

At night, I don’t want to have to wait for 10 minutes for it to turn off the backlight.

Other than using the active corner (I already have all 4 used for other important tasks), is there an AppleScript that sleeps the display instantly when it is run?

I’ve seen (on this form) ones that simply change the sleep time to 1 minute, and that’s not what I’d like to do.

Thank you.
