another newbie question. I learned a lot here in this forum about choosing a printer.
My problem is to print a huge number of letters with different content, but the first letterpage has to come form tray 2 and all the following pages form tray 1. Is there a way to select the tray of a printer with applescript.
Please help me.

You can create a custom Preset in the Print dialog which will do what you want. Then have your script call QuicKeys (that’s what I use) to switch to the custom preset prior to printing and back to the standard preset at the end of printing.
It works for me to print from Tray 3 of my LaserJet, which normally draws paper from Tray 2. (Mac OS X 10.3.2)
