iTunes and Name Info

Is it possible to have a script that tells you the name (in a dialog box) of the current playing track in iTunes?

This works for me (OS 9.1, iTunes 2.0.3):

tell application "iTunes" to set currTrack to name of current track as text 
display dialog currTrack
